Saturday, August 13, was our annual church picnic at our usual place at Marli-Sarnoski Park in a beautiful spot by the lake. It was an exceptionally warm day, but that didn't put a damper on the fun and fellowship had throughout a relaxing day of swimming, puzzle-building, and eating scrumptious food. The only down side is having to wait until next year to do it all again!
On Sunday, August 7, we held a brief yet important baptism service at the mighty Lubinski's pond in Waymart. We witnessed our very own Pete Melville follow in believer's baptism as he made this public confession of faith and commitment to Jesus Christ. It could not have been a more beautiful day to share this significant event in Pete's life.
The sound of old fashioned gospel music flooded the Waymart area on Saturday, August 6, as the Hinkle family joined us for a concert in Wayside Park. The evening was filled with fellowship, refreshments, and uplifting songs as the Hinkles shared their music and a devotion from the Word. It was a great outreach opportunity to draw in others from around the community to hear the Word of God proclaimed loud in song and praise!
